sense i upgraded to firefox 4 when i type web site name such as Verizon and then press enter instead of going to Verizon it goes to Google i don't use Google and don't want it controlling my address bar older version of fire fox did not go to Google how do i rid myself of Google

You can modify the pref keyword.URL on the about:config page to use a Google Lucky search.
