99% cpu after installation of FFv4.0

I'm attempting to install FFv4.0. The installer runs fine. It goes to fire up for the 1st time, Checking compatibility of add-ons, locks up & puts the cpu @ 99% from there on... ?? Have tried un-installing/re-installing it several times - same. Have tried un-installing all Add-ons it will let me un-install... Currently have gone back to v3.6.16 all ok again :-\
