My laptop freezes up after starting firefox 4

Hi, i have a lenovo g560 laptop after i installed firefox 4 in the beta and final version the laptop freezes up for up to 20 minutes. Nothing is working, not even the mouse. I have windows 7 64bit version as my OS. I do not have the same problem with opera, IE9, Safari or Chrome. I even changed my antivirus, i had Kaspersky now i have avast the free version, still the same problem.

Thank you for posting! I have the same issue. Happened twice in the past two days and yes I have only been using Firefox 4 after the latest update just the past two days (version 3.6 had no problems). I have now removed Mozilla Firefox completely and hopefully the problem is indeed with the latest version of Firefox (version 4) . I am now using Chrome again. I will post again IF my Lenovo freezes.
