Why did 4.0 get rid of the Save Tabs upon closing option? How can I get that back?

more options

When I go to close my browser, now that I have updated to 4.0, it no longer allows me to save my tabs. Why not? Can I have that option back please? (Why would you make an updated version LESS functional?)

Please tell me how to get that option back.

Firefox 4.0 will always save your tabs on shutdown, and you can restore them by choosing "Restore previous session" from the History menu (or by pressing the Restore button on the default Firefox home page).

If you would still like Firefox to prompt you when you quit the browser, you can re-enble the prompt by typing "about:config" in the location bar, and then setting these preferences both to "true":

  • browser.showQuitWarning
  • browser.warnOnQuit

So now we have to go one extra step? Previous version would bring up all saved tabs automatically when it was opened the next time. Very handy when using FF at work. That's what I would like to have back.
