I havc just installed Firefox 4 but have lost most of my extensions and plugins. Clicking on tools/addons just opens a new tab and takes me to the firefox addons page!!

Entries on the bookmarks toolbar are correct and my weather notifier nearby and my personal persona is OK. Speed dial is completely missing as is reminder fox. When I try to bring up the add ons window using tools/addons I am taken to the fiefox addons help page!

Please see Re-enable add-ons that were disabled when updating Firefox .

The best bet would be to contact the add-on developers and let them know you'd like to use their extensions on the new version. You can use Add-on Compatibility Reporter to do this.

Thanks Alex, miraculously my plugins and extensions have re-appeared with the absence of a couple with a notice telling me they are not compatible with FF4 and have been disabled. Thanks for the tip about contact the developers.

1) If I were to leave them would I be notified when there is an update when I check for updates on the addons page? 2) I have two java plugins i.e. version 6.0.023 and 6.0.024 should the earlier version still be installed?
