Postion of bookmarks button when bookmarks tool bar enabled

I like to have my bookmark tool bar enabled by default, but I dont like the position of the bookmarks button at the far right of the screen, I want it top left were i position most of my buttons. However it seems even if i customise my buttons so the bookmarks button is top left, it always displays far right with bookmarks tool bar enabled.

Is this an error, or a concrete postion it stays in? If so, please change in future update so people can position where ever they like.
