I am not sure what Firefox version I have but I do have Windows XP and my Mozilla google search always is in (I think) Dutch and English. I would like to change it to all English all of the time.

Clear the Google cookies: Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
If the Google (Firefox) or Yahoo home page is in the wrong language then see:
