FF opens .zip files instead of saving them

when i click on a zip file to save it, it opens the file like an URL, is there a way to change it?

Chosen Solution

Try changing the download actions for "Compressed (Zipped) folders" as shown in the Manage file types and download actions in Firefox article. Try changing it to either "Save file" or "Always ask".

thank you very much! it was set to open with a download manager that i removed! i changed it to "save"
