I just purchased MS Office Home and Student 2010. I got an error message that says I do not have a compatible operating system. Is there a workaround if I only use Mozilla Firefox?

Windows XP is your operating system, Firefox has no influence over that.

This is apparently not a Firefox related problem. The MS Office 10 setup program doesn't see your computer as having a compatible version of Windows. If you are running Windows XP, you need to have service pack 3 installed. If you are running Vista, you need at least service pack 1.
