Last week out of the blue an alledged IT technician rang me stating that my laptop was generating many "errors & warning when I use the internet, he stated that he would install firefox remotely which would prevent these errors & warnings. He asked me to pay £37.45p to enable this software to be installed, I paid by debit card. Have I been conned, if so what can I do to protect myself.
