Pretty much exactly as the title says: the links will work in Chrome and Sea Monkey but fail to work in FF

Your above posted system details show outdated plugin(s) with known security and stability risks that you should update.

  1. Shockwave Flash 10.0 r32
  2. Next Generation Java Plug-in 1.6.0_19 for Mozilla browsers

I have updated all java and all adobe and it is still not working. I cannot search for anything nor can I access my favorites or anything else requiring linking to another page-----not since the last FF upgrade which seems to come every few days.

This frustrated the heck out of me. I'm pretty sure it's because of some JavaScript setting that I messed around with a while ago. It surely is not caused by any addon/plugin. I have tried running in safe mode to no effect.

Nonetheless, I have found the answer:

First and foremost, DO update all your add-ons and plug-ins. And if that doesn't work, continue on.

Close all instances of Firefox.

Click your Start Menu > Programs > Mozilla > Firefox (Safe Mode)

A prompt will pop up. Check "Reset all user preferences to Firefox defaults." Click the "Make Changes and Restart" button. Voila! Go to and click a random video, you should be able to navigate the uploader's information about the video now.
