How to import bookmarks off a hardrive from a non-functional computer

more options

I have an older computer and the mother board recently crashed, essentially ending its life. The hard drive is still functional, so I inserted it into another computer to pull off selected files worthy of keeping, but I am struggling with the steps necessary to retrieve my old Firefox bookmarks. Most of the procedures I've seen so far instruct one to create a back-up prior to importing, but in this case, that is not possible since the computer is dead. If it's important, the now crashed PC was an XP-SP3 machine with Firefox 3.6.10. Any information to help resolve the transfer of bookmarks from a raw HD to a functional computer would be most appreciated.
