deleting a brokerage website logon page saved to desktop?

I sought to have a brokerage firm logon page as a hotbutton on my website. Internet Explorer allows this through "Create A Shortcut." This option was not available in Firefox , so I used "Save Page" using the Desktop as the designation. It was saved as an open webpage on my Desktop with no way to delete. I have sought to find the file/folder in My Computer with the properties address and have spoken with my brokerage firm online account help with no relief. They have suggested that this is a Firefox system problem since there was no way to "Create A Shortcut" from an open web address, as there is in Internet Explorer. How do I delete this Foxfire generated open website from my Desktop?
