Homepage set to webalta.ru, homepage reset through options won't help

I keep hetting webalta.ru as my homepage, I tried going to Tools - Options - General and resetting my homepage to default, but it wouldn't work. The next time Firefox starts, it still takes me to webalta. However, if I reset the homepage and click homepage icon without closing the browser, it takes me to the default Firefox homepage. Lso, I no longer have the options to start Firefox with a blank page in The Tools dialogue.
