Firefox hanging on exit + won't download pictures

For the past 2 months, Firefox must be manually close ("End Process") in the task manager after nearly every exit. Also, when I try to save a picture using "Save Image As...", the download is started paused and I must manually pause it and restart it to even start the download. These problems just randomly started after a while. I've tried many things and none worked.

For months i've had this problem but I spent hours to find it out and it was a mcafee add-on that was causing this and now it's fine.
