New windows open as something ridiculously small. How can I reset default window size?

New windows open in a space the size of a postage stamp. Quite literally. I have to grab them and expand them in order to even use them.

Firefox should remember the size of the last closed window. Once you have stretched it out to the desired size, make it the last window you close. If Firefox stubbornly refuses to remember settings changes, then you might want to consult this article: Preferences are not saved.
