PDF attachments now blank when printed. Worked great til today.

This isn't really about messaging, it's about attachment printing, but I can't find a better topic to file this under.

I get emails with PDF attachments dozens of times a month. When I print the PDF's, I always select "print headers & footers" and never had an issue until this morning. Now if I "print headers & footers" all I get is headers & footers, no portion of the PDF file is visible on the printout. If I unselect that, what I get is a blank page. Changing margins doesn't help. Changing the Scale doesn't help. Saving the files and then printing them from Adobe works fine, but obviously I don't want those extra steps and I DO want the headers & footers from Thunderbird.

Windows 11 home, 25H2 26200.9168 Thunderbird 154.0 64 bit, it auto-updated itself to this version sometime in the last day or two.

You may well be correct, I am no expert in the protocol here. But I saw that bug (2057444) was pertaining to older versions and it was marked fixed 2 days ago at basically the same time 154.0 was released. Versions prior to 154.0 never exhibited this behavior for me, for me it just started with 154.0. So if my problem is the same bug as theirs, does that mean I am just stuck with this problem because it's considered "fixed" in 154.0? Thanks for your patience

Hi,

Hopefully there will be a quick fix, as i keep getting calls that pdf no longer print from thunderbird since i updated all our users to v154....

We use MFPs at work so print requests are sent to the MFP storage, then the users go and print from their personal storage on the printer, but no documents are there. And there are no error message at all on windows 10/11

[edit] : i confirm using direct print it will just print a blank page
