Address book retreival after password change took it away (SQlite file 256KB in Profiles
My address books have disappeared from Thunderbird I had the usual Personal and connected lists plus a couple of named lists. I was told that they were probably still available MY Profile and if I asked Thunderbird to import them as an SQlite file I'd get them back. It hasn't worked. How do I do it?

If addressbook is gone, usually there is more that is gone. But I'll bypass that. What may have happened is that a new profile was created. To check that,
- click help>troubleshootinginformation
- scroll to 'profile folder' and click 'open folder'
- scroll back one folder to the Profiles folder'
- look at each profile folder stored in that folder, the files would be abook.sqlite and history.sqlite. Find the ones with most recent dates.
- once you locate them, you can either use Windows file manager and copy to your profile folder (with thunderbird not running) or use the import feature you mentioned to recover them.
