Good Day,

currently Mozilla Thunderbird does only show a short history header for email reply messages like, e.g.:

 *  "On 26.03.2026 at 21:41 John Dow wrote:  "

Why is that and can it be changed to a full history header message like on forwarded messages, e.g.:

  • "-------- Forwarded Message --------
subject: 	Fwd: Subject of mail
Date: 	Tue, 10 Mar 2026 17:26:08 +0100
From: 	SenderMailAddress
To: 	ReceiverMailAddress

A full mail history header does often help to show more detailed information in mail history so I and propably many others would prefere this kind of full header information. It is also a Standard in Microsoft Outlook.

Please check.

Thanks in advance Klaus
