Pretty much the title. This sounds like some Microsoft level stuff. Forcing a UI change for no reason. A few days ago it started. That was interesting because the play store was showing no recent updates. My UI on my tab screen had changed, though. I was able to revert back by turning off "Tab Enhancements" in the secret settings menu. Now, this morning, I wake up and the tab menu has reverted back to the "new" UI. I went back into secret settings and then option is no longer there. Google play says I have now updated to 1.49. WTH?

This is on Android, btw.

that’s annoying -it sounds like the 1.49 update flipped the UI and removed the hidden “Tab Enhancements” option; try clearing the app cache and restarting Firefox (or recheck the secret settings for moved flags), and if the option truly vanished you can downgrade to the previous APK from a trusted source or file a report so the developers can see it.

I just tried clearing the app cache per your instructions and I still have the same tab enhancements screen when I use the tab menu.

What is the best way to report this? Through the app itself? Obviously "Mozilla Support" here just takes you to other users and not the dev team.

Ironically when I posted this question I deliberately unchecked the option to receive e-mails on replies and I received an e-mail anyways. Do they just not care anymore?

Hmm I think you can report that on connect.mozilla.org It's their mozilla share some bugs that mighty fix for the up coming beta or nightly.. and if you think the firefox main have that try it on beta its an advance version of firefox still made of mozilla but the best part you have to use new features that many user still haven't try.. he nightly its mostly for developer but try to share your thoughts on connect.mozilla.org for more information your welcome

But I think its can suggest you something that mighty work...? I mean rather than use firefox official, try to use firefox beta to.. I mean base of my experience when official firefox have some bugs or erro its mean the official is trying to update its code and that's where the beta enter rather than experiencing those erro of bugs the beta is already ahead of the bugs and more better because its beta more developers work on it rather then firefox official and if tou think the official is been update then go back.. I am using official, beta, and nightly specials when I need to do some important things while official is doing some errors... hope this tips can help you 😁😁

Hi, sorry for that. I haven't succeeded in reproducing this issue, but that's definitely not intended.

Regarding the original question, I still have an "Enable Tab Manager enhancements" switch in the Secret Settings. Isn't it what you are looking for?

That's exactly what I'm looking for, but mine is in fact missing and my tab arrangement is the new style with useless borders on the edges and the words "Private Tabs and Sync" at the top instead of the previous style that had larger text and just icons at the top.

I have cleared my app cache as suggested and restarted the app. The only thing I haven't tried is restarting the phone.
