this stupid ass browser keeps adding some sites that i visit to my shortcuts

I switched to Firefox yesterday, and it keeps adding some sites that I visited more than once to my shortcuts, and there is no option to disable it. I can only disable all shortcuts, and I don't wanna do that. I just wanna have MY SHORTCUTS. It's literally the most basic feature that ALL BROWSERS HAVE. WHY CAN'T I HAVE MY OWN SHORTCUTS? If there is really no way to have ONLY MY SHORTCUTS, I'm switching to Edge.

You have to pin all the shortcuts you want there or decrease a row number. Every empty field will be automatically filled with frequently used shortcuts. See Customize items on your Firefox New Tab page.
