Cannot send email. Mailbox unavailable

jcoles0727

I have v.13 of Thunderbord for Android Outgoing server settings match those recommended by Rogers/Yahoo, except that there is no Password field. App says SMTP server settings are valid, but when I try to send I get "Mailbox unavailable" error.

Is this a new account you've added to TB-A or errors that just started occuring on a previously working configuration?

The lack of a password field would be normal for oAuth 2.0 authentication. Plain user name and password authentication is no longer supported by Yahoo.

Try logging into your webmail, send yourself an email to confirm the account is functioning normally. It might be a temporary service issue or a full mailbox.

I'm not sure whether I ever tried sending email from the Android phone before. But after some difficulties with TB 148 (now resolved) I thought I should test it. On further investigation, I found a spelling mistake in my username in the SMTP settings. All is OK now.
