After using normail uninstall tool from operating system, the profile folder is still there.

  1. from windows desktop, enter %appdata% in search box and press enter
  2. that should take you to the appdata\roaming folder. Delete the Thunderbird folder. There may also be a Thunderbird folder at appdata\Local. Delete that one as well.

The above steps assume user installed from thunderbird.net
