As the title says, when i go to about:support, and click the open profile folder, i wanted to install a customization to allow me to edit the default tab background, but for some reason i do not have admin privileges in that folder, i can't access anything, i can't edit anything nor create a new folder, even rename it. It says that my own computer does not have admin privileges inside that folder.

Hi,

While you can work around that (which will probably not be a subject for this forum), I would recommend using built-in ways to achieve what you want. First, you can already set a wallpaper for the New Tab page (see this article). Second, if you need something different, it's very likely that you can find an extension for that.

Well the one i wanted is from a github repository and it allows animated backgrounds, and i need to create a folder to add the mp4 file into so ..

Got it. First, you'll probably need to convert the file to one of the allowed formats (such as gifs).

Second... As far as I understand, you can save the file anywhere and then choose your custom location, an I right? If so, I'd definitely not recommend saving anything in app folders, just use your Windows profile folder, desktop, another drive or anything.
