Why is it that everytime I try to open a link, you ignore my defaults and use firefox? I have another browser that I made my default because firefox has become so bloated as to be unusable- Do I have to delete firefox entirely to get you to use my defaults? firefox is NOT what I want to open in-- and yes, I know I can copy the link, which is what I usually do, but sometimes I forget-- then get infuriated at how bad firefox has become.

You're speaking to other users here. I did no such thing to you. This is not a general Firefox or Thunderbird problem, but a system defaults issue.

It would be helpful if you told us what version of Thunderbird you are using and what your computer operating system is. I'll assume it's the latest Windows 11. Try this solution. Substitute your browser of choice for Chrome. You might have to change the default a couple of times for it to stick.

This worked for me. I changed from Firefox to Edge and back and it worked as expected.
