Please create a new version of the browser app that supports the ability to use FileSystemAPI on directories, this is essential for working with a BeatBuddy project and SD cards that are saved on my computer using the online editor. Regards, Guy James

Regards, Guy James Difficult to give more info. I'm on Windows 10 and Firefox 146.0.1. The problem arises when I'm trying to use a computer-based management application called BBMO for my Beat Buddy 1 drum machine from Singular Sound, and it simply won't run. I get a message on screen saying that about four browsers are supported, two being Safari and Edge (the others, I think, are for Apple, which isn't my system). I only use Firefox as my main browser, and occasionally DuckDuckGo, although that has historically been mostly as a search engine in preference to Google, because DuckDuckGo doesn't spy on you as Google does. Same reason for preferring Firefox as my browser, i.e. security and privacy. So, having told me how few browsers are able to operate with BBMO, they gave me the text that I put in my question, although I have no idea what "FileSystemAPI" is. I saw that you've had other messages/questions just like mine, with exactly the same wording, from other users of the Beat Buddy system, so I hope that this information will suffice, as I don't have any other info available. Thanks. Guy
I don't think we want to implement it right now. There's a subset of this API we're quite enthusiastic about (in particular providing a read/write API for files and directories as alternative storage endpoint), but it is wrapped together with aspects for which we do not think meaningful end user consent is possible to obtain (in particular cross-site access to the end user's local file system). Overall we consider this harmful therefore, but Mozilla could be supportive of parts, provided this were segmented better.
