Text Still AWOL on some web pages

I love Firefox and it is my preferred browser. That said, I find I have to switch to Chrome or Safari on my Mac Desktop because some web pages do not display text. Doesn't happen a lot, but when it does, it renders the website unusable.

I have been to the Language and Appearance settings page, and even clicked on the Advanced tab. I have attached screenshots of my settings. What am I doing wrong? Why won't these pages display properly?

Just to clarify, I have attached two more images of the same page captured using Firefox and Safari. As you can see, the first image makes the page useless.
