I was recently required to change my 2 Spectrum email account passwords. I am able to log in to one of them, but not the other, even though the settings in Thunderbird are the same. It shows at the bottom of the screen that it connects to the mail.twc.com server, but the login fails. I am able to log in to my email on the Spectrum website with the same email address and password that I'm using in Thunderbird, so the password is correct. This used to work before I changed my passwords. The email that I can't connect to has a @ in the password so I'm wondering if that special character is throwing it off.
