remove donate page at login
thunderbird will not remove donate page

click settings>general and untick the startup page. I do understand that, after donating, some users like to see the message removed.
My first attempt reply appears to not have worked?
Thanks David, you solved the question I came here (again!) specifically to ask.
I donated, again, yet the "freedom now" (donate) page never disappeared; in my opinion it should be removed automatically.
It would also be nice to see some form of recognition for the donation. As an example the excellent & extremely secure messaging service Signal gives you a "Signal Boost donor badge" (a space rocket blasting through space) on your profile...

The 'freedom now' page can be removed at settings>general and unti6kc the start page. The donate request doesn't go away, and really shouldn't, because donations are needed periodically. Yes, some people think that their $10 one-time donation covers their use for a lifetime, but thunderbird needs and relies on periodic donations. Thank you for your continued support. And, wording in this response is just my personal opinion. :)
Again, thank you David.
Yes I got the way to remove that banner from your earlier reply to the other OP. Hence my first thank you.
Re the automatic removal I mentioned; your explanation makes sense, so I now agree with you.
However some of us, me for example, even without the prompt donate periodically. The period between my donations depends upon on my cash flow!

Thanks for the smile. You made my day. :)
