Manage Identities...."from" shows email address

I have searched all over the "Manage Identities" area. I can't figure out why the "from" in an email message shows my email address, not my name.

My wife has an account that is set up exactly the same way but hers shows her name, as it should.

Check the display options at Settings>general and that may have what you want.

Check the Your Name field in Account Settings or under Manage Identities.

I've done that. My name is there, but it shows my email address in the "from" field.

What do you have in Settings/General/Reading & Display/Message List? Are you entered in an address book with your full name?

Message list option checked is "Full name and email address". change it to Name only??
