I just downloaded Thunderbird and trying to setup my existing email. It keeps giving me the message "Unable to log into server. Probably wrong configuration, username or password. I just logged into my email on yahoo and the user name and password worked fine.

If you have the account hub enabled in Settings/General, disable it and add the account from ⇶ - New Account - Email. Check that you have these settings:

imap.mail.yahoo.com, 993, SSL/TLS, OAuth2, email address

smtp.mail.yahoo.com, 465, SSL/TLS, OAuth2, email address

Accept cookies in TB Settings, and enter the account password in the OAuth window when it asks to grant TB access.

That may be because you logged into their website, where everything is preconfigured. On a PC, you have onus of specifying the proper configuration, so that's my guess on the problem.

I called my server provider who gave me third party access information but I continue to get the "unable to log on to server" message.

barstowauto,

DId you resolve your problem?
