Thunderbird not downloading messages from Outlook
I am having a problem downloading emails from Outlook. The problem appears if the message has already been read first on my phone. If I read an email from an Outlook account on my phone, that email will not be downloaded to an Inbox on Thunderbird.
I can take the read but not downloaded messages and copy them into an archive folder synced to TB. The messages are then synced to my desktop. I then move them to the Inbox. Its a bit of a circuitous route but it gets the messages to go where they need to go.
I have reviewed the settings in the account for TB and have the "synchronize all messages" selection checked. Are there any other account settings I need to change?

It might be your phone is set for POP. shut the phone off, send yourself a message, read it in PC and then turn phone on and see if it reads message. Shut thunderbird on PC down and restart. Is the message still there on PC? If not, the phone is deleting it.
Thanks for the advice.
The account settings on both phone and computer specify IMAP.
The download issue only occurs if the email is first read on the phone. Otherwise, unread messages are synchronized accurately by Thunderbird. Marking the email as unread (on the phone) does not immediately correct the issue.
Note that I also have Outlook installed on my computer. Outlook appears to have no issues with synchronizing across hardware. This seems to be a quirk in TB.
The reverse does not seem to be an issue. The phone is able to synchronize all emails whether I read them on the computer within TB first or not.
