Not much description there, but it sounds like that's a known problem with the new Account Hub. Try creating the account the old way:
- go to TB menu > Settings > General > Account hub > uncheck 'Create accounts in the new Account Hub'
- go to TB menu > New Account > Email
my <redacted>@aol.com does not show up on thunderbird so I can send or receive emails

Also, please don't post full email addresses in public.
