Today I made a credit card donation to Mozilla but I still cannot download Thunderbird on to my computer which is running Windows 10. I should be very grateful if someone could guide me through the process. Tony Baker.

Check your Downloads folder. Sometimes the browser hide the fact that the download was succesful.

Goto https://www.thunderbird.net/en-US/thunderbird/all/

and click on Download
