I guess it's just too simple for my needs. Without a field where I'm able to assign a recognizable name to an entry I'm in the position of having to memorize url's, instead of passwords. No gain. Frustrating!!!

Does the Firefox password manager's autofill feature not work for the websites you are using? In about:preferences#privacy, there is checkbox labelled "Fill usernames and passwords automatically".

If you consider this issue to be very important, you could try using a password manager. Most of them allow you to add names to logins.
