Why is logging in to my Credit Union no longer possible when using Fire Fox?

I like using Fire Fox (FF), but I am constantly met with resistance from different organizations which try to tell me to use MS Edge, or Google Chrome. It seems like FF is a problem for them. Now, after successfully using Fire Fox for decades, I can no longer log in to my bank account when using FF. I can use any other browser, but not Fire Fox. I've spoken to the bank, and they point the finger at FF (of course), but this time (unfortunately) I have to agree with the bank. What did FF do that now makes it impossible for me to access certain web pages, or certain features, like "logging in" to accounts?

Can you please un-F whatever you F'd up? Or, please explain to me why I can do everything the exact same way I've always done things when like using Brave, Chrome, Edge, Chrome Cast, and TOR, but can no longer do them when using FF

One possible reason is Firefox's "Total Cookie Protection" feature -- it limits how sites can use "third party" or "cross-site" cookies, meaning cookies from different websites than the one you see in the address bar. Some sites pass you back and forth between different servers during login because they have their services spread out over a number of different servers. In those cases, you might be able to submit a form successfully on one page and then the next page says you are not logged in. Frustrating!

You can make exceptions to this feature when needed (for each server that you visit as part of the process of using this company's services). Try clicking the shield icon at the left end of the address bar (next to the lock). On the drop-down, click the blue slider switch to disable protection. Repeat on the bank's other servers and you encounter them.

Thank you JSCHER2000, for your reply. As you suggested I turning the Enhanced Tracking Protection "OFF" for the web-site and specifically while on the "LOG IN" portion. I made 3 attempts, which all failed. Prior to reaching out on the forum, I had repeatedly cleared my cache, next ran the "ip flush" command, and finally completely uninstalled and re-installed Fire Fox. Everything seemed to work in the prior versions of Fire Fox. Two things had been upgraded prior to the issue I am having; Fire Fox, and went from Win 10 to Win 11. I would love to say the problem is Windows, but as mentioned above, all other browsers work with the website I can not access when using Fire Fox.

What happens when you try to sign in to your account? For example:

  • After submitting credentials, the site behaves as though everything is good, but redirects to a page where you are not signed in so you have to start again.
  • The sign-in form will not submit.
  • There is an error message indicating you did not complete a CAPTCHA challenge or other requirement (that is not visible below the form).
  • There is a different error message -- what does it say?
