My email has started highlighting my IMAP having reached a maximum number and advising to 'do something advanced' Being a big thicky in such matters can anyone help please. I am not on gmail my address is dranreb@dranreb.karoo.co.uk and everything I delete disapears and not into my trash. Should I contact my local provider KCOM? Thank you Bernard PS not sure how I would look up an answer on the 'thread' if informed that there was one there.

Since your trash is also in the IMAP account, you need to move messages to Local Folders to reduce online space.
