is there away to set default font and color on replies that is different than new message?

Is there a way for fonts and color in replies to be default for replies only, and a different default font and color for new messages. It is kind of a pain to keep changing every time you do a reply.

You could possibly create a template for that, but what you want is not a feature. If your intent is only for your viewing, there is an addon, 'quote colors', that can set responses to different colors.
