AP news shortcut added to new tab page with "sponsored shortcuts" off

I've noticed on several of my pc's running win10 & win11 the AP news shortcut has been added to the new tab page when I have not gone to the AP News site on either PC. If I have "sponsored shortcuts" off and I don't use AP news ever, how did it end up on my shortcuts?

It looks like you added youtube as a search engine too. What kind of slimy marketing crap is this?
