I've been missing scrollbar arrows on my Mozilla Firefox browser for a long time now, which makes browsing and engaging with various websites more difficult. Can anyone tell me how to restore the scrollbar arrows?

1. Check Firefox Settings Firefox does not have a built-in option to enable or disable scrollbar arrows directly, but you can try resetting the browser settings: 

   1. Open Firefox. 
   2. Type about:config in the address bar and press Enter. 
   3. You may see a warning message; click on "Accept the Risk and Continue." 
   4. In the search bar, type widget.non-native-theme.scrollbar.style. 
   5. If the value is set to 1, it means the native scrollbar is disabled. Change it to 0 by double-clicking on it. This should enable the native scrollbar, which includes arrows.

2. Check Your Operating System Settings Sometimes, the appearance of scrollbars can be affected by your operating system settings: 

   • Windows: 
       ◦ Go to Settings > Ease of Access > Mouse pointer. Ensure that any settings related to visibility or size of scrollbars are set to default. 
   • macOS: 
       ◦ Go to System Preferences > General. Under the "Show scroll bars" section, select "Always" to ensure scrollbars are always visible.

3. Disable Themes or Extensions If you are using a custom theme or extensions that modify the appearance of Firefox, they may be affecting the scrollbars: 

   1. Click on the three horizontal lines (menu) in the upper right corner. 
   2. Select Add-ons and themes. 
   3. Go to the Themes section and switch to the default theme. 
   4. Check the Extensions section and disable any extensions that might affect the UI.

4. Update Firefox Make sure you are using the latest version of Firefox, as updates can fix bugs and improve functionality: 

   1. Click on the menu button and select Help. 
   2. Click on About Firefox. Firefox will check for updates and install them if available.

5. Reset Firefox If none of the above solutions work, you can reset Firefox to its default settings: 

   1. Click on the menu button and select Help. 
   2. Click on More Troubleshooting Information. 
   3. Click on the Refresh Firefox button. This will reset Firefox to its default state while keeping your essential information like bookmarks and passwords.
