I am new to Firefox and tried to import the Google Chrome Bookmark Toolbar bookmarks. This did not happen and need to get the items listed in the Chrome Bookmark Toolbar into my Firefox Browser.

The 3-bar menu > Bookmarks panel shows a list of recently added bookmarks in reverse chronological order for quick reference. It isn't meant to replicate the lists available in other places.

Could you check whether they ended up on the Bookmarks menu, at the bottom, in an Imported Bookmarks or Chrome Bookmarks, etc., folder? If so, you need to move them to the Bookmarks Toolbar. The Library window is the easiest tool for reorganization. You can open it using Ctrl+Shift+O ("O" as in Organizer). In the left column, expand "Bookmarks Menu" to check its subfolders.

Thank you for your suggestions, but how can I get the toolbar and its related bookmarks on the page without going to "manage bookmarks" where I can see the toolbar. Do I have to go through these steps to see the bookmark toolbar or can i get it into the place where now are random sites that are saved and seen? Cy
Hi Cy, in the Library window, if the bookmarks are under "Bookmarks Toolbar" you might just need to turn on that toolbar (Ctrl+Shift+B) in regular windows.

I understand what you are suggesting I do to accomplish getting my bookmark toolbar, but whatever I do, what I need is not happening. I am 87 and frustrated that what I want, I can not get it done. If possible, could you provide a step-by-step that I will follow to get the Chrome toolbar in my Firefox bookmarks? It looks, like Firefox may not be for me without my toolbar, so without it, I must look for anther non-Google browser that will import what I had in Chrome. Cy
Hi Cy, you mentioned earlier that if you use "Manage Bookmarks" to open the Library window then you can find your imported bookmarks. What category are they listed under?
Maybe as a temporary workaround, it would help to add the Bookmarks Menu button. It looks like a star sitting on a tray: . You can drag it up to the toolbar using the Customize panel (Customize Firefox controls, buttons and toolbars).
My issue is solved if I could move the screen shown when I open the Manage Bookmarks under Bookmarks. My issue is to get my bookmarks of value, I need to move that screen shown in Manage Bookmarks to be actually shown when I just select Bookmarks. Now, to get what I want, I need to open Manage Bookmarks and make selections from that screen. Therefore, it appears to solve my issue, I need to make this into a 2-step process. First open Bookmarks and then Manage Bookmarks to get what I want. Is it this way in Firefox to avoid issues with Google Chrome? If I keep Firefox, I will need the 2-step process as stated above. Thanks for your help, but it appears that I am stuck with what is showing within Bookmarks & Manage Bookmarks. Cy
Hi Cy, Manage Bookmarks (the Library window) shows all 3 categories of bookmarks. The very first one you see is "Other Bookmarks". If you use the left column to change between Bookmarks Toolbar, Bookmarks Menu, and Other Bookmarks, can you confirm that your Chrome bookmarks imported into Other Bookmarks? You can move bookmarks from Other to Toolbar or Menu using drag-and-drop in the Library window. You are not stuck leaving them wherever they first imported.
When I select the 3-bars and look at Other Bookmarks, I am not sure where many of these came from. If I open Manage bookmarks and look at Bookmarks Toolbar, that is what I had in Google Chrome and would like to see that when I select the 3-bars. Is there someway to make that happen? Cy
I just noticed the words at the top of the Firefox page and included is the word Bookmarks. When I open that, all the bookmarks were transferred. I will use this to get any needed bookmark, and then my issue is solved. I was just following what I had always done to get bookmarks and just need to adjust to this setup. The items listed in where I use the 3-bars to get to bookmarks is no longer needed. Is there a reason why the bookmarks under the 3-bars is so different and do you know what the purpose of this list is?
