I installed Thunderbird 136.0.1 for Windows this week to use with my Gmail/Google account. I'm loving the way it works and the fact that it interfaces with the Google calendars (even the birthday calendar driven by Google contacts) well. The address book seems a bit more inconsistent with syncing/updating and I'm trying to gain an understanding of how that works. If I add a contact the the address book in Thunderbird, it shows up in the web interface in Google contacts. However, If I delete a contact in the web interface, that contact is not removed from the Thunderbird address book. Am I just not being patient enough for the syncing to take place?

Thanks! Rob

Syncing is done every 30 minutes is my understanding, so are you being impatient?

You can modify the timing in the book properties in Thunderbird, just be careful of trying to make it real time or close to. I can foresee other issues with connectivity if you add another "feature" making regular frequent connections.
