TB profile on SMB share is very slow

Creating a brand new profile on a SMB shared drive is making TB almost unusable. Even before creating a mail account it is so slow.

I'm using this version of TB 128.7.1esr (32-bit)

Why use a 32bit version? It might simply be it having issues with a 64bit file system
