Because of a software glitch unrelated to this issue, Apple tech wiped my hard drive. When I reinstalled Thunderbird and re-added my earthlink account, the 10+ folders I had created under the Inbox were not there. Where did they go and can I recover them?

Because of a software glitch unrelated to this issue, Apple tech wiped my hard drive. When I reinstalled Thunderbird and re-added my earthlink account, the 10+ folders I had created under the Inbox were not there. Where did they go and can I recover them?

If the account was IMAP, right-click the account in the Folder Pane, Subscribe..., and select the missing folders.

If it was POP, they can only be recovered from a backup.
