In earlier versions of Firefox for desktop, one had the option of selecting a set of websites to open in tabs on startup. I no longer see that option. Is it still possible to do so? Thanks

It should still be there. You can open only the pages you wish to set as multiple homepages in tabs. Then go to "Settings -> Home" and click "Use Current Pages" to set those pages as your homepage.
