Hey, If you want to stop automatic translation in Firefox on Windows 10, open a webpage where translation happens. Look for a translate icon in the address bar, click it, and select Never Translate or Turn off automatic translation.

If you don’t see this icon, you need to go to Settings, General then in Languages and uncheck any option to offer translations. Also, check Extensions in Settings and disable any translation add ons.

I hope this helps you buddie. Mike Taku.

The main translation feature is controlled by this pref.

  • browser.translations.enable => true or false

Opening the translation pop-up panel is controlled by this pref.

  • browser.translations.automaticallyPopup => true or false

The feature to translate selected text is controlled by this pref.

  • browser.translations.select.enable => true or false

Note that you do not get the translation icon for pages that are in the preferred language for displaying pages list, in this case use the "3-bar" Firefox menu button.

You can open about:config via the location/address bar. On the warning page, click "Accept the Risk and Continue" to open about:config.
