Yt5s video download button in Youtube webpage

more options

I really don't remember installing any plug-in related to it. The Youtube web page shows a download button at the bottom of the video window, when I click on it it opens a pop-up window to the Yt5s web page, but the mentioned web is full of forced advertising and all kind of irregular staff. When I go to the plug-ins section of Firefox it is not shown there. I have no idea how to remove this script. May you please help me?

If there isn't a stand-alone add-on for video downloading, could it be a user script (for Tampermonkey, Violentmonkey, Greasemonkey, Firemonkey)?

Thank you, I only have four extensions installed, one is Tamper Monkey, there are only three scrips installed on it, all three are about blocking adds and for bypassing age restrictions in Youtube.

Besides Tamper I have Strict Pup Up Blocker, Dark Backgroud and Light Text, and Privacy Badger.

And finally there are two plug-ins, one is Open H264 and the second is Widevine Content Decription

So far I have no clue about what is happening

Hi, sorry for ignoring open questions while I was traveling in Japan for a few weeks.

My guess would be one of the scripts. If you go into the TM Dashboard and then try the editor for each script, and do a Find for yt5s, do any of them refer to that site? It's possible that they connect indirectly through an affiliate program that pays them for traffic; that's harder to find. I guess you could do a find for Download and see whether that's in there.
