I've been looking to recover my file history. I accidentally deleted my file history. I looked into recovery. I found out how using a youtube video. Using Sqlite recovery app on this file "places.sqlite." However, when I search and looked up a few things, it was basically the history I can already access and that only goes back from now to like december 2023. I want to go back a few years. Did I do something wrong using the sqlite app for that file?

You will need an earlier snapshot of places.sqlite from before you deleted this history as deleting history removes it from the places.sqlite database. You might find that in a Windows System Restore point. Note that places.sqlite stores both bookmarks and history, you lose bookmarks that aren't in the backup. If necessary backup your current bookmarks or use a backup in the bookmarkbackups folder.
