I'm running Thunderbird version 115.7.0 . Sorting by Date Order doesn't work. The dates are all jumbled up.

First, see if your messages are threaded. If using menu bar, click view>sort by and tick unthreaded and see if that helps. (If not using menu bar, press Alt key to see it.)
