Hi, I wrote two mails to myself. Both had the same message, just one link. One of the mails was keyed in manually, the other mail was made using the command line option. The link in the manually established mail worked, but the link in the command line established mail generated a 404. Both mails look the same. I could send both mails for a comparison, but this platform accepts only images. Therefore I can only send a screenshot, knowing this will not be very helpful. Thanks - Lothar

The website hosting server will typically generate a "404 Not Found" web page when a user attempts to follow a broken or dead link. So I'd say something is wrong with your link.

I try to send a link via command line "-compose". The created mail looks good but the contained link creates a 404. The link is:

https://lothardoehle.synology.me/clipdat/Solarstrom/Index.htm

it is not dead or broken one, you may check. Then I typed the same link manually and the link looked the exactly the same, and this link worked. Now I have 2 mails containing only one link. Both links look the same, but one creates a 404. I would like to send you the source code of both mails, but I don't know how. I have no mailing address to send to.

As per your screenshot the broken link has 'index.htm'. The working one has 'Index.htm'. So your command line created link is broken.
